A vase with a strong surface does not need a large bouquet. Start with the shelf, the light and a few stems, then decide what the arrangement still needs.
Some vases provide a quiet outline around a bouquet. Others bring enough shape to hold a place on the shelf even when they are empty. Rounded bubbles, fine ribs and a matte finish change the way an object looks as the light moves across it.
When the vase already has a strong surface, it helps to build the arrangement slowly. You can always add another stem. Taking half a bouquet out after you have tied it together is rather less satisfying.
Put the empty vase where you think it belongs and look at it from the places you actually use: the sofa, the doorway or the chair at your desk. Check the space above it as well as the footprint below. An arrangement that sits comfortably on a console can become awkward under a low shelf.
Measure the object rather than judging its size from a styled photograph. Miro is approximately 98 × 98 × 180 mm. Veluna is approximately 110 × 110 × 174 mm. They are close in height, but their surfaces and outlines give them different presences.
Miro has rounded bubbles over its cylindrical body. A few open stems leave that repeating shape visible. You might try one taller stem, a shorter one to the side and a little space between them. Turn the vase and the stems together until the arrangement feels balanced from your usual viewing position.
Veluna has a sculptural outline and fine ribs. Try giving the arrangement a clear direction instead of filling the opening evenly. A loose group of dried stems can continue the line of the vase without hiding its shape. These are starting points to adjust, rather than rules that require a specific type of flower.
Side light makes a textured surface easier to read. Before adding more objects around the vase, try shifting it a little along the shelf or turning it towards the room. The same matte surface can look quieter or more pronounced as the shadows change.
Keep the material's care instructions in mind while choosing that position. Both vases are printed in matte PLA and should be kept away from direct heat. A spot beside a heater is not improved by how good it looks in a photograph. Leave enough space for the stems to sit clear of nearby lamps and other objects.
Miro and Veluna are intended for dried or artificial flowers. For fresh flowers, use a separate watertight container inside the vase. Do not pour water directly into the printed body and assume it will behave like a conventional watertight vessel.
Choose an inner container that fits without being forced, and check that the complete arrangement sits securely. If the container and stems do not fit comfortably, use a different arrangement. Wipe the outside with a damp cloth and avoid leaving water around the base on furniture.
A textured vase, a book and a small empty area can be enough for one shelf. If every object touches the next, move one away before buying another. Look again after a day in the room: the arrangement should work when you pass it, not only when you stand in front of it with a camera.
Flowers and styling accessories are not included with either vase. Colours in presentation images are illustrative, and the available variants are listed on each product page. Start with the object you want to live with, then let the stems remain the part you can change.
